Yorkshire Moors Cottages

Luxury Cottages in one of the most scenic parts of the UK

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a preserved historic railway stretching for 18 miles through the heart of the North York Moors National Park, from Pickering via Levisham, Newton Dale and Goathland to Grosmont.

Whitby Abbey was a 7th-century Christian monastery that later became a Benedictine abbey. The abbey church was situated overlooking the North Sea on the East Cliff above Whitby in North Yorkshire.

One of the most scenic parts of the UK, the Yorkshire Moors is a popular destination with visitors from all over the world. Amidst the miles of heather and rugged moorland, there are a myriad of attractions and sights to explore. The Cleveland Way is the nation’s most popular national trail, and it’s easy to see why. Along the 109 mile route you’ll see the best the Moors has to offer; with a dramatic, sweeping coastline, untouched moorland and picturesque villages all featuring prominently.

What to do in Yorkshire Moors?

When you’ve finishing hiking across moorland and strolling along the coast, you’ve still got the scenic woodland and forest to explore. The Great Yorkshire Forest offers peace and tranquillity, as well as a wide variety of attractions. Paintballing, Segway tours, adventure trails, world-class mountain biking and the Scarborough and Ryedale Astronomic Society observing events are popular at Dalby, and there are plenty of cosy Yorkshire Moors cottages nearby.

As well as Garbutt Woods, May Beck and Falling Foss and Keldy and Cropton, The Yorkshire Arboretum is the perfect place to take your four-legged friends. For pet owners, the Yorkshire Moors is an ideal holiday destination and The Yorkshire Arboretum provides 150 acres of woods and parklands for dogs to enjoy.

“Possibly the most perfect location in the Dales - absolutely idyllic. Beautiful house too. You will not be disappointed!”

Kevin, April 2019

“Boutique 39 is in an excellent location to visit the Yorkshire Dales and East Witton is a very pretty peaceful village. The cottage is so luxuriously furnished and so well equipped it was an absolute joy to spend time in the cottage. The owners have certainly created a wonderful holiday home and although it was great to visit different places in the Dales it was a real pleasure to return to relax and enjoy this gem of a cottage at the end of the day.”

Kay, August 2018

“The owner Corey was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is very comfortable, well equipped, cosy and very clean. Highly recommended! We found the pretty village of East Witton an ideal base for exploring the Dales, but unfortunately no amenities other than the Blue Lion Inn. Have already re-booked for next year...”
