Brimham Rocks are balancing rock formations on Brimham Moor in North Yorkshire, England. The rocks stand at a height of nearly 30 feet in an area owned by the National Trust.

Aysgarth Falls are a triple flight of waterfalls, surrounded by woodland and farmland, carved out by the River Ure over an almost one-mile stretch on its descent to mid-Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales.

East Witton is a small village near the North Yorkshire market town of Masham. East Witton was first mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086 but was abandoned during the Black Death of the fourteenth century. Records suggest that the settlement remained empty until the Earl of Ailesbury rebuilt it in the early part of the nineteenth century.

What to do in East Witton?

Masham is a historic market town close to East Witton with lots of things to see and do. If you love history, then you’ll want to pay a visit to the Masham Bones - a site containing more than fifty skeletons dating back to the Norman era.

“Boutique 39 is in an excellent location to visit the Yorkshire Dales and East Witton is a very pretty peaceful village. The cottage is so luxuriously furnished and so well equipped it was an absolute joy to spend time in the cottage. The owners have certainly created a wonderful holiday home and although it was great to visit different places in the Dales it was a real pleasure to return to relax and enjoy this gem of a cottage at the end of the day.”

“The owner Corey was very welcoming and helpful. The cottage is very comfortable, well equipped, cosy and very clean. Highly recommended! We found the pretty village of East Witton an ideal base for exploring the Dales, but unfortunately no amenities other than the Blue Lion Inn. Have already re-booked for next year...”
